League days are for all members and non-members to come out, throw some discs with other like minded people and enjoy the North Queensland weather. These typically happen on the 3rd Sunday of each month starting in February through to December. The exception to this is the months when a PDGA Event is held instead.
A typical league day will start about 8am and be comprised of two rounds of the League Day Course at the Harris Crossing 18 Hole course. Each round, with a card of 3-4 players will take about 1.5hrs to complete. There is a small break between rounds to refill water bottles. Round 2 often begins around 10am with the League Day finishing before 12.
The League Day is split into 3 mens divisions*, womens and junior division. This allows players to compete against others at similar skill and experience levels as they are. However, the players on the card each round is randomly divided to allow you to play with all players.
As a Birdie Member (see membership tab), each League Day round will accrue points based on placing for that round. These points will go towards end of year prizes and awards. However, Par Members will still have their League Day points tracked in case they wish to upgrade to Birdie Membership or see their standing throughout the year.
Registration and scoring is done through the UDisc App as a League Event. This requires each player to download the UDisc App, however the league/event features are available for free in UDisc, so no extra cost is required.
These events are ways to allow North Queensland players to try competitive play and those who are PDGA members to improve their PDGA ratings without having to travel to SE Queensland. They are often run over two rounds on the same day, using a similar course layout and timing as the League Days. As an added bonus these events are often paired with another fun competition on the Saturday (Tui Challenge, Doubles Event etc).
The cost to these events is kept low for non-members. Though if you are a Birdie Member it is a free entry.
Sign-on and scoring is done through Cognito forms and the PDGA Live app (free).
Prizes are awarded at the end of the events for all PDGA divisions run, based on the PDGA player payout calculations.

The North Queensland Open is our main PDGA event of the year. It typically occurs the 3rd weekend in September and is a two day, 3 round event. The NQ Open brings players from all over Queensland to compete and the weather is often very forgiving during this time of the year. It's a great way to meet players from around the state and see how your skills compare with others of a PDGA or ability rating.
There are often other social events planned throughout the weekend, making for a great few days of disc golf.
The cost to the NQ Open is not included in the Birdie Membership and is in line with QDG, ADG fees for a C-Tier competition.
Sign-on is through Cognito forms and scoring through the PDGA Live app (free)
Prizes are awarded at the end of the event for all PDGA divisions run
The ADGD is a National Competition run by Australian Disc Golf. However, it's played across the country on various home courses. In the past NQDG has run this event at both Harris Crossing (2 rounds of 18) and Marabou Park (4 rounds of 9). It's a free event that is signed on and provided by ADG.
The purpose of ADGD is to bring attention to the sport and allow you to bring a friend to try the sport. The courses are often more beginner friendly to make it accessible to all.
ADGD typically occurs at the end of September, a couple weeks after NQ Open.
